SINGAPORE, Feb. 1 -- London Metal Exchange tin prices CMSN3 fell more than 6 percent on Monday to the lowest since Christmas Eve 2009, chasing a broad sell-off in metals last week.

LME three-month tin dipped to $16,100 a tonne, down $1,100 from Friday's close, having ended last month 1.5 percent higher, in contrast to most other metals which saw steep declines in January due to a broad fund-led sell-off.

Zinc fell 17.5 percent last month, lead 16 percent and copper 8.5 percent.
