SMM Mn Survey: Operating Rates at Manganese Producers Decline to 69%

SHANGHAI, Jan. 14 (SMM) -- Affected by negative impact of electric power restriction, production and supply at manganese producers were affected to certain extend. SMM conducted a survey on operating rates at manganese producers in Guangxi, Guizhou, Xiushan in Chongqing and Sichuan. The results are as follows:

Operating rates in Guizhou province remained at 55% due to negative impact of electric power restriction policy; operating rates at Guangxi province remained at 56%; supply of electric power was also tight in Hunan and Xiushan, supply of electric power was restricted to certain extend. In this context, operating rates in Hunan declined to 83%, and operating rates in Xiushan declined to 81%. Overall operating rates in China fell to 69%, lower by 3 percentage points with the rates of last week.
