SHANGHAI, Jan. 6 (SMM) -- Domestic selenium prices climbed slightly. Mainstream traded prices of selenium powder advanced to RMB 540-570/kg range from the previous levels in the RMB 520-550/kg range; mainstream traded prices of selenium dioxide advanced to RMB 400/kg.

SMM believes that rising price trend of selenium is mainly attributed to slight tight supply in selenium market, as suppliers were reluctant to move goods under the expectation of inflation. In addition, selenium prices also receive support from steady climb of downstream EMM prices. It is expected that domestic selenium prices will still have slight rising room.
