SHANGHAI, Nov. 4 (SMM) -- Today, mainstream offers for refined manganese are RMB 12,900-13,000/mt, and the wait-and-see attitude dominated most traders; downstream iron alloy producers purchased limitedly due to lower prices.

Sources report that Guizhou government will raise the electricity prices by RMB 0.04/kWh from current levels of RMB 0.43/kWh from November 21st; while Guangxi government will lift the electricity prices by RMB 0.01-0.08/kWh from current levels of RMB 0.48-0.51/kWh in late November. More manganese producers will suspend production in mid-November if manganese prices continue to slide.
