






SHANGHAI, Dec. 17 (CBI China) -- On 16th it was informed from National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), last week, NDRC held a forum for non-ferrous industry to revitalizing work to listen to the comments and suggestions of the backbone of local enterprises and non-ferrous Development and Reform Commission. Participants include the executives of China Aluminum Co. Ltd., Qingtongxia Aluminum, Jiangxi Copper, Tongling Nonferrous, Jinchuan, Zhuzhou AG, the Western Mining and other leading enterprises. At present, copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel and other major non-ferrous metal producers are faced with shrinking consumption, sluggish demand, sharp decline in prices, rapid increase in inventory, cut production scope expanding, serious decline in effectiveness, extremely tight in cash flow and extreme difficult in production and operation. In order to revitalize the current situation, the business executives made nine recommendations: First, implement industrial development policy, highlight key industries, protect the advanced productive forces, and speed up the elimination of outdated production capacity through the basic role of pressures and market; Second, seize the opportunity to establish a platform to speed up the effective use and development process of overseas resources; Third, implement the reserve plan as soon as possible to boost market confidence; Fourth, promote direct purchase of electricity pilot for key enterprises and lower electricity prices to encourage the integrated coal - electricity - aluminum industry , and allocate the high quality resources to the key enterprises; fifth, led by the government, promote the cross-sectoral and inter-regional mergers and acquisitions to enhance industrial concentration; sixth, adjust tax and fee policies reasonably, encourage domestic exploration and development and import shorted raw materials and expand exports; seventh, restore and expand the scope of processing trade pilots, keep the capacity utilization of the domestic advanced production capacity; eighth, increase the support for the enterprise technological reform and raise the proportion of advanced productive forces in the industry; ninth, encourage enterprises to develop cycle economy and promote energy-saving and waste-reduction.
