[Zn] CBI Analysis 2 – “Reserves”

SHANGHAI, Dec. 9 (CBI China) -- Last Monday (Dec. 1st) Economic and Trade Committee of Yunnan Province issued Notice about purchasing 1 million mt of non-ferrous metals (including 300 kt of zinc) as reserves. This afternoon, the provincial economic commission also released the notice and specific implementation details about the province 1 million mt of non-ferrous metals reserves. CBI contact smelters and lead and zinc ore dressing enterprises in Yunnan province, the directors of these enterprises said, although the provincial government introduced a specific reserve plan, the key issue they are most concerned is whether the market demand will improve or not... ... If not, the significance of reserve may be less. It is similar with the analysis of CBI, and the actual significance will be waiting for the test of the market.
