






SHANGHAI, Nov. 25 (CBI China) -- According to statistics data from China Customs, in October, China imported 11,400mt of refined zinc, down 66.5% from September; from January to October, total import volume of refined zinc are 171,900mt, up 32.5% YoY. In October, China exported 7,600mt of refined zinc, and 63,500mt in total from January to October, down 75.3% YOY. Drastic decline in refined zinc import volume was due to sluggish downstream demand, thus imported goods moved very slowly in domestic spot market; coupled with the ratio between domestic and overseas spot products is still below 8, zinc smelters will loss more by making importis, causing obvious decline in imported refined zinc volume.
