SHANGHAI, Jul. 11 (CBI China) -- Mine operators have been increasing shipments from Tianjin and Jingtang ports, due to the rising storage charges, as well as in response to the new port congestion policy from National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
At present, there is approximately 1.3 million mt of nickel ore in Tianjin and Jinggang ports, down 200 kt from two weeks ago.

As traffic regulations have been tightened due to the Olympics, one NPI producer in Shanxi province said they were stepping up efforts now to transport nickel ore to their factory, in order to have a secure supply of raw material during the Olympics.
