Xiangguang Copper Supply On-spec Products to Market

SHANGHAI Nov. 30 (CBI China)--Shandong Yanggu Xiangguang Copper Company recently shipped refined copper from its new 200kt p.a. project, but production was not yet streamlined, according to company sources.  However, those manufacturers of copper semi-finished products who purchased the new refined copper were satisfied with the quality.

    As a newcomer to the refined copper sector, Xiangguang Copper's product was priced much lower than other manufacturers in order to gain initial market share.  Xiangguang Copper did not reveal details of its 2008 production plans, raw material sources, or 2008 TC/RC negotiations.

    Xiangguang Copper was only able to manufacture and begin trial sales of the on-spec refined copper after several delays.  The company has no competitive advantages in raw material costs or logistics, and will also have no significant advantage with regard to the annual TC/RC negotiations.
