SHANGHAI Nov. 9 (CBI China)--Guangdong Customs recently slashed clearance charges for scrap copper by RMB 12,000/container, from RMB 40,000 to RMB 28,000/container (for cargo containers with gross weight below 20 mt). This reduction was first confirmed cut since rumors began circulating on September 25th, and the cut was enacted to stimulate scrap copper imports and ease cash flow pressure of Chinese domestic traders.
