CNMC Dezwa Achieves Record-High Copper Production in March

In March, CNMC Deziwa Copper achieved a record high in copper cathode production since the company commenced commercial production, successfully achieving a "strong start" to meeting its profit target for the first quarter (Q1).

Since the beginning of this year, the rainfall during the rainy season in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has been significantly lower than usual, resulting in insufficient power supply from upstream hydropower stations. This has led to a severe shortage of power for CNMC Deziwa Copper, directly affecting its production and operations in Q1. Facing these difficulties, the staff of CNMC Deziwa Copper embraced the spirit of "unwavering determination" and a tenacious work ethic centered on practical action. They organized a dedicated team to communicate and coordinate with local power generation enterprises, maintaining a dedicated power supply and securing a special power supply. Additionally, they built their own diesel generator sets, employing multiple strategies to ensure power for production. Meanwhile, CNMC Deziwa Copper adjusted its production plans in a timely manner based on the actual market environment. Management and technical personnel took on responsibilities, led the charge, continuously strengthened management, optimized processes, and concentrated superior resources to ensure copper cathode production. They successfully achieved growth in copper product production against the odds, laying a solid foundation for the successful completion of the production and operation goals for the entire year of 2025.
