1.275 yuan/Wh! Second EPC Tender for 400MW/800MWh ESS Power Station in Yangquan, Shanxi

On April 22, Mailian Yuanchu Energy Development (Shanxi) Co., Ltd. initiated the second tender for the EPC general contracting project of the 400MW/800MWh ESS power station in Pingding County. The ESS power station project is located in Pingding County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province, and will construct a 400MW/800MWh prefabricated container ESS station, including battery containers, PCS boosting integrated machines, and a newly built 220kV boosting station. The total investment of the project is 1.02 billion yuan, with a unit price of 1.275 yuan/Wh. The project first launched its tender on December 26, 2024, and on January 20, 2025, the consortium of China Construction Fifth Engineering Division Power Energy Co., Ltd. and Yuan Gong Power Technology Co., Ltd. won the bid. However, it is still unclear why the project requires a second tender.
