[SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Review: LC2411 Main Contract Drops 2.67%] On August 8, the main contract for lithium carbonate LC2411 declined by 2.67%. According to data, the LC2411 main contract opened at 80,600 yuan/ton and closed at 78,500 yuan/ton, with a trading volume of 137,278 lots and an open interest of 219,537 lots, an increase of 9,882 lots from the previous trading day. On the same day, SMM's spot quotation for battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 78,400 to 82,100 yuan/ton, with an average price of 80,250 yuan/ton, a decrease of 150 yuan/ton from the previous working day. In terms of trends, lithium carbonate prices opened sharply lower and continued to decline after a slight rally, oscillating downward and setting new lows, ultimately closing down 2.67%.
