Recently, experts from the Changjiang Delta (Lanxi) Magnesium Materials Research Institute of Chongqing University went to Lanxi Lunfeng Vehicle Material Co., Ltd. to dock with the company's responsible personnel to design products and strive to apply lightweight magnesium alloy components to electric vehicles.

In March this year, the Chongqing University Changjiang Delta (Lanxi) Magnesium Materials Research Institute, jointly built by the Lanxi Municipal Government and Chongqing University, was officially put into operation, providing experimental sites for magnesium materials research. The institute is located in the Ruipu Intelligent Technology Industrial Park of Lanxi High-tech Zone, with a total area of 14,000 square meters. There are more than 30 professional personnel, including more than 10 professors, associate professors and senior engineers. The research directions are magnesium-based structural materials, magnesium-based hydrogen storage materials, magnesium battery materials, magnesium-based biological materials, etc.
