Solar Cell Prices Dropped Last Week

Cell prices fell last week. PERC182 cells were sold in the range of 0.95-0.98 yuan/W. The lowest price in the market reached 0.92 yuan/W on May 19, and the price drop in May reached 10.19%. The decline was smaller than that of silicon wafers, and the profit of PERC182 cells has recovered.

The pressure of price competition has also increased with the price reduction of silicon wafers. The supply and demand of PERC210 cells are relatively well matched, and the price is currently supported in the price range of 1.03-1.05 yuan/W.

After the price reduction of N-topcon182 last week, it was flat with PERC210 (Topcon182 cell prices were about 1.16 yuan/W previously). Under the current downward cycle of main material prices, profits of upstream polysilicon and silicon wafer were transferred to downstream cell and module links. The downward trend of cell prices has not yet stopped, and enthusiasm of module factories to buy goods picked up.
