Operating Rates of Refined Tin Smelters in Yunnan and Jiangxi Remain Low amid Extended Maintenance

SHANGHAI, Feb 3 (SMM) - This week, the operating rates of refined tin smelters in Yunnan fell as expected as some smelters who were under maintenance during the CNY holiday have not yet resumed production while a few smelters lowered output due to tight raw material supply. 

The operating rate in Jiangxi region increased, driven by production resumption after the CNY holiday. 

To sum up, the overall operating rates in the two provinces remained low this week, but are expected to pick up gradually in the short term as more smelters will re-open after the Lantern Festival.
