As of Monday May 29, SMM copper inventory across major Chinese markets stood at 118,300 mt, down 100 mt from last Friday but up 11,000 mt from the same period last year.
Inventories in only Guangdong accumulated, while inventories fell across other regions.
The inventory in Shanghai fell 3,300 mt to 66,500 mt, the inventory in Guangdong grew 4,500 mt to 39,400 mt, while the inventory in Jiangsu decreased 100 mt to 7,500 mt.
In east China, limited supply of domestic copper and brisk consumption drove inventories lower.
