Not only in China, but globally, efforts are also being made to promote the development of methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers. For instance, Japan's Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. launched the world's first 65,700 mt methanol dual-fuel bulk carrier, which is expected to significantly reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and carbon dioxide by using methanol as fuel.

I. Working Principle of Methanol Dual-Fuel Ready Bulk Carriers

The working principle of methanol dual-fuel ready bulk carriers is primarily based on their dual-fuel system. These vessels are designed with the option of methanol as an alternative fuel and are equipped with corresponding dual-fuel engines.

When methanol is used as fuel, the dual-fuel engine can switch to methanol mode. Methanol enters the engine through a specific fuel supply system, mixes with air, and combusts to generate power to propel the vessel. The company signed contracts with COSCO Shipping Bulk for multiple 73,800 DWT methanol dual-fuel ready bulk carriers and successfully delivered several vessels within the stipulated timeframe. International manufacturers mainly include Japan's Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, and the renowned Nordic company Wartsila. Tsuneishi Shipbuilding is a globally renowned shipbuilder and has made significant breakthroughs in the methanol dual-fuel bulk carrier sector. The company launched the world's first 65,700 mt methanol dual-fuel bulk carrier, setting a benchmark for the green transformation of the shipping industry. Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, one of South Korea's largest shipbuilders, is also actively developing methanol dual-fuel vessels. The company has extensive experience and technical reserves in methanol fuel technology and ship design, making it a key player in the methanol dual-fuel bulk carrier sector. Wartsila is a global leader in ship power systems and solutions. The company has introduced solutions for methanol dual-fuel engines, providing reliable power support for methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers. Although Wartsila does not directly manufacture ships, its technology and solutions hold a significant position in the methanol dual-fuel vessel sector.

III. Future Development of Methanol Dual-Fuel Ready Bulk Carriers

From the current development trends, the future prospects for methanol dual-fuel ready bulk carriers are promising.

Firstly, as global restrictions on carbon emissions become increasingly stringent, the shipping industry must seek more environmentally friendly fuel alternatives. Hoy, los precios spot de carbonato de litio de grado batería de SMM bajaron ligeramente en comparación con la jornada anterior. El contrato de carbonato de litio 2701 abrió a la baja en 157.000 yuanes/tm hoy y luego fluctuó a la baja tras la apertura. En la sesión matinal, operó débilmente en el rango de 156.000-157.000 yuanes, con un máximo intradía de 157.800 yuanes/tm. Cerca del mediodía, cayó rápidamente a 153.200 yuanes/tm, marcando un nuevo mínimo intradía. Alrededor del mediodía, los precios oscilaron repetidamente en el rango de 154.000-156.000 yuanes. En general, las consultas del mercado y las transacciones reales fueron relativamente activas.
