**Technical Breakthrough Achieved in High-Energy Solid-State Batteries! The World's First Autonomous Passenger eVTOL Completes Solid-State Battery Flight Test**
SMM has learned that on November 14th, EHang announced a significant technical breakthrough in high-energy solid-state batteries, incubated by the International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Hefei) Low-Altitude Economy Battery Energy Research Institute (abbreviated as "IATAP Center Battery Research Institute").
It is reported that EH216-S, equipped with these batteries, successfully completed a single uninterrupted flight test lasting 48 minutes and 10 seconds. Suitable for various flight requirements, the endurance time has been notably increased by 60% to 90%. This also marks the completion of a solid-state battery flight test by the world's first autonomous passenger electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL).
