CATL: Awarded CCS "Product Inspection and Testing Organization Accreditation Certificate" to Accelerate Maritime Electrification Strategy Progress
On March 25, China Classification Society (CCS) awarded the "Product Inspection and Testing Organization Accreditation Certificate" to CATL's testing and verification center in Ningde, Fujian. This certificate is the first CCS has granted to a battery manufacturing enterprise. The certification indicates that CATL now has independent testing capabilities, and in the future, its maritime products can be tested in its own laboratory, with CCS personnel present to witness the testing process. This accreditation will accelerate CATL's strategic progress in the electrification of maritime transportation. CCS provides technical specifications and standards for ships, offshore facilities, and related industrial products, as well as inspection services for ships and offshore facilities. It is currently authorized by governments of 60 international maritime countries or regions, including China, to conduct statutory inspections on behalf of these countries or regions for ships and offshore facilities.
