Yields on Yields on US Treasury bills maturing in early June rose above 6% on Wednesday as debt-ceiling talks in Washington stalled again.
If the U.S. government fails to raise the debt limit before the deadline mentioned by Treasury Secretary Yellen, the national debt due in early June will face the greatest risk of overdue payment.
Yields on Treasury bills due June 1 and June 6 rose to as high as 6.2%.
