As of September 24, 2026, the Western Australia FOB alumina price stood at USD 349/tonne, with sea freight at USD 35.65/tonne and the USD/RMB selling rate at around 6.73. This price is equivalent to an external selling price of approximately 3,006.53 yuan/tonne at major domestic ports, which is 334.94 yuan/tonne higher than the alumina index price.

August Aluminum Plate/Sheet and Strip Exports Pull Back at Narrower Pace MoM, Mexico Overtakes US as Top Destination

Customs data shows that China's aluminum plate/sheet and strip exports totaled 31.19 mt in August 2026, down 3.3% MoM (a decrease of 1.07 mt from 322,700 mt in July) and up 17.7% YoY.
