Published: Sep 13, 2026 23:47
SDG Namibia One has signed a development funding agreement with Enersense Energy Namibia for the Dâures Green Fertiliser Project, committing up to $3.6 million toward a total development budget of $7.07 million. Located in Namibia’s Erongo Region, the planned facility will use 60 MW of solar power, 10 MW of wind capacity and a 65 MWh battery system to supply a 40 MW electrolyser. It is designed to produce up to 20,000 mt/year of green ammonia and 80,000 mt/year of ammonium sulphate fertiliser. Financial close is targeted for Q2 2028, followed by commercial operations in Q1 2030. The project aims to reduce Namibia’s dependence on imported fertiliser while developing a domestic green-hydrogen value chain.
