The PMI for the automobile sector stood at 50.60, up 0.48 point month-on-month, but down 0.11 point year-on-year. The seasonally-adjusted composite index came in at 49.57, up 0.47 point on the month, but down 0.17 point on the year.
The index for production was 50.71, down 1.02 points MoM but up 0.48 point YoY, and that for new orders rose 2.46 points month-on-month but fell 0.45 point year-on-year to 51.41.
The producers kept 30.72 days of raw material inventories on average in May, up 0.04 day MoM (The number of days of raw material inventories is for reference only as the survey sample may have changed).
