Jiangxi Copper Group's First Overseas Factory in Zambia Commences Full Production

In July 2025, Jiangxi Copper Group’s first wholly-owned overseas factory—the wire and cable project of Jiangxi Copper (Zambia) Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.—officially commenced full production at the Jiangxi Industrial Park in Zambia. Phase I, with a US $11 million investment, focuses on high-quality low-voltage wires and cables and oxygen-free copper rods, with annual core capacities of 40,000 km of wire and cable and 10,000 tons of oxygen-free copper rods. The cable products range from 0.3 mm² to 630 mm², including power cables, power cords, building wires, photovoltaic cables, and industrial control cables; the copper materials cover diameters from 0.15 mm to 8.0 mm, including bare copper wire, bare copper conductors, and copper rods.
