Chongqing Tongliang Base Project Marks Milestone in New Energy Storage Industry

The first phase of the Chongqing Tongliang base project has been officially put into operation, marking the first support project for the new energy storage industry chain in the implementation of the "New Energy Strategic Promotion Action" plan by the Chongqing Branch of China Construction Bank. The project has a planned total investment of 13 billion yuan and a land area of approximately 1,200 acres. It will be built into a production base and research and development center for 56GWh new generation energy storage lithium batteries and 22GWh energy storage modules. The head of the Chongqing Branch of China Construction Bank explained that new energy storage refers to new energy storage technologies other than pumped storage, including new lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries, flywheels, and compressed air energy storage.
