Polysilicon Prices Still Under Pressure In A Buyer’s Market

Recharging and dense polysilicon prices inched down to 63-66 yuan/kg and 61-64 yuan/kg respectively this week. This week was the time for upstream and downstream sectors to sign orders for December cargoes. Sellers and buyers were in a deadlock, leaving transaction prices of N-type polysilicon generally lower than 70 yuan/kg. Leading crystal pulling plants quotes 68 yuan/kg, while polysilicon plants sticked to 65 yuan/kg. It was a buyers’ market for the moment, with crystal pulling plants having some polysilicon stocks. Therefore, the actual traded prices may continue to fall next week.
