Construction of rare Earth and other key Industrial projects in Baotou from January to May 2021

From January to May, 298 key industrial projects worth more than 30 billion yuan were resumed in Baotou City, with a resumption rate of 99.3 percent, with a completed investment of 6.37 billion yuan. 207new projects, with a start-up rate of 99 percent, and a completed investment of 9.94 billion yuan.

From the point of view of the start-up and resumption rate, with the exception of Donghe District, all key industrial projects worth more than 100 million yuan in other banners and counties have been resumed, with a resumption rate of 100 percent; the resumption rate in Donghe District is 96.4% (the rate of unstarted new projects is 16.31 billion yuan). Among them, 93 continued projects, 93 resumed work, and Chinalco Inner Mongolia Huayun New Materials Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 420000 tons of light alloy projects.

From the point of view of the completion of investment, the top three areas are Qingshan District, High-tech Zone and Kunming District. 56 metallurgical projects were resumed, with an investment of 2.59 billion yuan (30 iron and steel projects with an investment of 1.66 billion yuan, 26 non-ferrous projects with an investment of 930 million yuan), 47 equipment manufacturing projects with an investment of 1.26 billion yuan, and 87 new materials projects with an investment of 7.93 billion yuan, of which 41 rare earth and new materials projects were resumed with an investment of 2.36 billion yuan.

From January to May, among the 300 key industrial projects in Baotou City, a total of 289 projects, accounting for 96.3%, were completed through the four preliminary formalities of project establishment (approval, filing), environmental assessment, land, and planning (including no need to deal with, all of the following are not required). 297 project approval and filing formalities have been completed, accounting for 99.0%; 289 environmental assessment formalities have been completed, accounting for 96.3%; 296 land formalities have been completed, accounting for 98.7%; and 297 planning formalities have been completed, accounting for 99.0%.
