Imported Zinc Concentrate TCs Fell in August

SHANGHAI, Aug. 12 (SMM) - TCs for imported zinc concentrate fell in August due to strong demand from Chinese zinc smelters and supply tightness in some regions, according to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA).

TCs for imported zinc concentrate were $200-210 per tonne in August, compared to the $200-215 in July, CNIA data show. TCs for imported zinc concentrate in Q2 averaged $200-220 per tonne.

Zinc concentrate supply in Hunan, Sichuan, Guangxi and Yunnan remained limited. Zinc concentrate output in the first six months of the year was 2.28 million tonnes, down 10% YoY, according to the National Statistics Bureau.
