PV Exports Remain Resilient After Export Tax Rebate Cancellation

After China canceled the export tax rebate policy for PV products, demand for Chinese PV products outside China was not weakened as per expectations. In April, export values of batteries and modules were 4.715 billion yuan and 16.891 billion yuan respectively, up 133.2% and 19.3% YoY respectively.

Today, #1 copper cathode spot prices in North China against the front-month contract were reported at an average discount of 360 yuan/mt to a discount of 280 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. The average transaction price was 104,495 yuan/mt, down 735 yuan/mt from the previous trading day.
