ผู้ผลิตโมดูลโซลาร์ Solx กำลังสร้างโรงงานผลิตโมดูลโซลาร์แห่งแรกของประเทศที่อุทยานอุตสาหกรรม HP เดิมในอาเกดาลลา ปวยร์โตรีโก โรงงานนี้คาดว่าจะมีกำลังการผลิตตามแผน 1 กิกะวัตต์ มีการลงทุนรวม 64 ล้านดอลลาร์ ขณะนี้เฟสแรกของการก่อสร้างได้ลงทุนไปแล้ว 25 ล้านดอลลาร์ บริษัทเน้นย้ำว่าโรงงานนี้จะเป็นของและดำเนินงานโดยคนท้องถิ่นทั้งหมด ไม่มีความสนใจจากต่างชาติเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง การก่อสร้างจะสร้างงานให้แก่คนท้องถิ่นมากกว่า 200 ตำแหน่ง และคาดว่าจะกระตุ้นโอกาสในการจ้างงานมากกว่า 600 ตำแหน่งในด้านโลจิสติกส์ ซัพพลายเชน และอุตสาหกรรมสนับสนุน
