Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 27, local time, BYD held a brand revitalization press conference in Tunisia, officially introducing three battery electric vehicle (BEV) models to the Tunisian market: the Tang, Dolphin, and Yuan PLUS (locally known as BYD ATTO 3), as well as two plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models: the Destroyer 05 (locally known as BYD KING) and Song PLUS DM-i.

This evet not only updated and enriched BYD's brand image and product lineup in Tunisia but also marked a key step in BYD's strategy to deepen its presence in the local new energy market and promote global green travel, following Tunisian President Kais Saied's visit to its global headquarters in early June.

The new energy vehicle (NEV) models launched by BYD this time range from the elegant mid-size SUV Tang to the stylish and practical compact SUV Yuan PLUS, and the space-efficient hatchback Dolphin, comprehensively meeting Tunisian consumers' diverse needs and scenarios for green travel. Additionally, the debut of the Destroyer 05 on the African continent is particularly noteworthy. As a global leader in NEV sector, we will continue to introduce the best products and cutting-edge technology, fully promoting the electrification transformation of the automotive industry in Tunisia and across Africa."

[SMM Daily Review: Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Dropped Slightly on March 6] The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price dropped slightly from the previous working day. Futures performance showed that the most-traded contract fluctuated within the range of 151,100-160,900 yuan/mt throughout the day, and open interest increased by about 1,500 lots from the previous trading day. In terms of actual transactions, upstream lithium chemical plants remained weak in their willingness to sell spot orders, with strong sentiment to hold back sales and hold prices firm. Most downstream enterprises took a cautious purchasing stance, mainly staying on the sidelines. A small number of material plants bought the dip when prices were relatively low. Overall, although market inquiries increased, actual transactions remained somewhat sluggish.
