Hyper GT Global Edition hits market, featuring HD map-free smart driving system

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 6th, the Hyper GT Global Edition, a new model under GAC AION's premium brand Hyper, officially hit the market, introducing three models priced between 203,900 yuan and 259,900 yuan. Notably, the new vehicle features the innovative "HD Map-free Global Communication" intelligent driving system, which operates without the need for high-precision maps.

Early adopters who purchase the Hyper GT Global Edition by June 30th will receive a suite of benefits, including a lifetime warranty on the three main electric components and an extended vehicle warranty. Furthermore, they will enjoy a free upgrade to a luxury package worth 12,000 yuan, lifetime free charging valued at over 20,000 yuan, lifetime free maintenance, free home installation of charging piles, and exclusive financial policies, with a total value of up to 55,000 yuan.

The Hyper GT Global Edition is positioned as a mid-to-large pure electric sports sedan, built on the AEP3.0 platform dedicated to battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). In terms of appearance, the new model introduces Quantum Red and Budapest Pink paint options while maintaining the design of the existing Hyper GT model. It features a closed-off front grille, tech-savvy headlights, and a roof-mounted LiDAR. The central lower grille includes an electrically adjustable vent that opens and closes at different speeds to optimize aerodynamics and cooling.

From the side, the new car boasts a sleek, fastback coupe design with a body line that extends to the rear, enhancing aerodynamics. At the rear, the vehicle sports narrow taillights and a rear diffuser decoration, accentuating its sporty appeal.

Inside, the Hyper GT Global Edition offers new Afternoon Macchiato and Elegant Orange Brown color schemes. It includes a full LCD dashboard, a multifunctional three-spoke steering wheel, and a floating multimedia touchscreen on the minimalist center console, which eliminates all physical buttons. Three integrated air vents enhance the futuristic design. The upgraded voice interaction system now responds in just 0.3 seconds, 50% faster than the previous version.

As for smart driving capability, the Hyper GT Global Edition is equipped with Level 3 autonomous driving hardware, including three LiDAR units, six millimeter-wave radars, and thirteen cameras.

In terms of power, the new model features a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup with a maximum power of 250 kW and a peak torque of 430 N·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. It uses an 800V high-voltage platform coupled with a SiC chip, and an 80 kWh battery, allowing for a 450 km range in just 15-minute charging session. Its combined CLTC-rated range reached 710 km.
