Ji Yue, Changshu Automotive Trim Group ink agreement to step up cooperation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 26, Ji Yue, the automotive robot (Robocar) brand jointly backed by Geely and Baidu, signed an agreement with Changshu Automotive Trim Group Co., Ltd. ("CAIP") to cement their strategic partnership. The event also celebrated the successful delivery of the initial fleet of twelve units of the Ji Yue 01, Ji Yue's first production model, to CAIP. 

In her address, Ms. Cheng Xi, Vice President of the Ji Yue Automotive Supply Chain, emphasized the pivotal role played by CAIP as Ji Yue's inaugural partner, providing luxurious interior products and top-notch services. She expressed hope for deeper collaboration in the future, focusing on continuous exploration and innovation in areas such as smart cabins, user experience, new technologies, materials, processes, intelligence, connectivity, and environmentally friendly solutions. The aim is to elevate both parties' brand influence and market competitiveness while jointly expanding into broader markets.

Responding to the occasion, Ms. Luo Xifang, Executive Deputy General Manager of CAIP, highlighted that the Ji Yue 01 project marks the initiation of their collaboration, with a second project already in smooth development. Since joining hands in 2021, the shared values have fostered mutual trust and support. The strategic signing is a renewed commitment, paving the way for continued exploration and innovation in smart mobility and user experience, leveraging each other's resource advantages.

Through this strategic agreement, both parties aim to maximize their respective strengths, establish a technological alliance, accelerate the effective transition from technology to product, and form a long-term, multi-product, and multi-project strategic partnership. Together, they aspire to set the benchmark for intelligent automotive solutions.

Ji Yue currently has one mass-produced model, the Ji Yue 01, for sale. On December 26, the carmaker announced that its second production model is officially named "Ji Yue 07," which is set to hit the market in 2024.
