SHANGHAI, Jun 13 (SMM) –The prices of battery-grade nickel sulphate were between 33,100-33,500 yuan/mt last Friday, up 50 yuan/mt from a week ago. The deadlock between upstream and downstream enterprises has intensified. Due to the limited improvement in demand, buyers somehow took an upper hand, preventing prices from rising noticeably. The current inventory of nickel salt enterprises is at a relatively low level following output cuts in April-May, discouraging them from selling at low prices. Due to mild gains of precursor prices, precursor producers rejected higher nickel sulphate prices.
