Higher copper prices slowed down new orders of the wire and cable industry last week.
Despite market expectations for the concentrated deliveries to the State Grid in June, there are still concerns that cable companies had busy production schedules or have completed part of the production plans ahead of schedule in May.
There has been no noticeable increase in orders from the State Grid, and the increase in consumption in the real estate industry has remained insignificant. High copper prices and market bearishness kept downstream buyers cautious last week.
