China Primary Aluminium Billet Output To Fall Sharply In June-July On Demand Shock

SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) - Production resumptions by aluminium smelters in Guizhou and Guangxi have basically plateaued in May, thus aluminium billet production will have limited upside room. The operating rates of construction aluminium extruders have gradually declined, taking a toll on aluminium billet orders. However, considering that it takes time for the negative impact to be transmitted, aluminium billet production will fall not sharply until June and July, with only mild declines in May.
