Nickel Sulphate Prices Trend Lower Owing to Poor Demand from Ternary Precursor Companies

SHANGHAI, Mar 20 (SMM) - Last Friday, quotes of battery-grade nickel sulphate were 38,400-38,800 yuan/mt, down 650 yuan/mt WoW. SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate price index was 38,430 yuan/mt, down 425 yuan/mt WoW. Last week, the battery-grade nickel sulphate prices overtook nickel briquettes prices by 1,000 yuan/mt. The pure nickel prices were still on a downward track, driving down nickel sulphate prices rapidly. On the demand side, the operating rates of ternary precursor factories decreased, reducing the transactions of small orders for nickel sulphate, especially for crystals.
