BNAmericas reported that according to the latest data from the Inei, Peru’s mining (including oil and gas) production fell by 3.61% in January from the previous month. Among them, copper output turned from a 19% increase in December last year to a 1.6% decrease, while iron ore production increased by 52%.
Copper mining companies in southern Peru are facing supply and concentrate transport issues, with Las Bambas, Antapaccay and Constancia assets experiencing suspensions or output cuts.
