According to foreign news released on February 2, Southern Copper Corporation's data on Thursday said that the company's copper output in 2022 dropped 6.6% to 894,703 mt.
The company stated in its financial report that the decline in production in 2022 is mainly due to the suspension of production at its Cuajone copper mine and the decline in ore grade.
Southern Copper Corporation also said its fourth-quarter copper production added 1.6% QoQ thanks to the slight rise in ore grades, while output from its Mexican mines in the fourth quarter was roughly flat compared to the same period in 2021.
