Focusing on projects such as the automotive electronics industry, Huawei may deepen cooperation with Hefei.

SMM: on Sept. 14, Yu Aihua, member of the standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial CPC Committee and secretary of the Hefei Municipal CPC Committee, held talks with Yu Chengdong, managing director of Huawei and CEO of the consumer business, on deepening cooperation.

According to Hefei Daily, the cooperation between Hefei and Huawei will focus on the automotive electronics industry, urban brain and "one district, one room, three centers" and other projects.

In addition, Yu Aihua expressed the hope that the two sides will expand the areas of cooperation around the strengths of Hefei and the needs of Huawei, step up efforts to overcome difficulties, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

In fact, Hefei and Huawei have long cooperated. In 2018, two projects, Huawei Hefei Cloud Computing and Huawei Hefei Cloud Innovation Center, were established in Luyang District, Hefei.

On May 16, 2019, the Anhui Hefei Municipal Government also signed a deepening strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei. On the same day, Huawei Hefei artificial Intelligence Innovation Center was unveiled.
