Trimet Essen Aluminum Smelter Reached a New Milestone: Cumulative Cast Aluminum Output Surpassed 10 Million mt
Earlier today, Trimet’s foundry in Essen, Germany, reached a major milestone in its production history. Since the plant began operations in 1971, Casting Station No. 216 cast the first 10 million mt of aluminum today.
This record-setting batch of aluminum was produced in the form of extrusion billets and has been delivered to Otto Fuchs.
As a long-term client of Trimet, Otto Fuchs will process these materials into components used in automotive manufacturing, global aerospace, and various industrial sectors.
The aluminum smelter in Essen was established in 1971.
