US Department of Energy (DOE) Announces Latest Hydrogen Energy Plan

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has released the latest version of the "Hydrogen Program Plan," which serves as a foundational resource for advancing research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) of clean hydrogen technologies. The "Hydrogen Program Plan" identifies and articulates the strategic and priority areas within the DOE's hydrogen program, which represents a closely coordinated effort involving multiple hydrogen-related offices.

The plan provides a strategic framework that integrates the RDD&D efforts of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, the Office of Nuclear Energy, the Office of Electricity, the Office of Science, the Loan Programs Office, the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, and the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) to advance the production, transportation, storage, and utilization of hydrogen.
