BYD opens first flagship store in Kuwait

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 15, 2024, BYD, in partnership with local dealer Alghanim Industries, celebrated the grand opening of its first flagship store in Kuwait, according to a press release from BYD.

The automaker said this opening further accelerates Kuwait's transition to green mobility and marks BYD's full expansion into the Gulf Cooperation Council ("GCC") market, underscoring the company's commitment to promoting sustainable transportation in the Gulf and the broader Middle East region.

AD Huang, General Manager of BYD Middle East and Africa, stated at the ceremomy, "2024 is a milestone year for BYD. Not only are we celebrating our 30th anniversary, but we also achieved the historic milestone of producing our 10 millionth new energy vehicle, becoming the first automaker in the world to reach this achievement. Kuwait's vision for net-zero emissions aligns perfectly with BYD's brand mission, and we look forward to partnering with Alghanim Industries to write a new chapter in Kuwait's sustainable development."

The BYD flagship store in Kuwait spans 2,680 square meters and showcases five new energy vehicles models, including the BYD Han, Yuan PLUS, Seal, Song PLUS DM-i, and Qin PLUS DM-i. To date, BYD has successfully entered six GCC countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait.

BYD noted that it will continue to introduce more new energy vehicles and, together with Alghanim Industries, empower Kuwait's electric vehicle ecosystem, supporting the country's transition to green mobility.
