**Sodium-ion Energy Storage Project: Official Launch of the 20MWh Sodium-ion Energy Storage Project by Guangxi Guilin Yongfu, National Energy Group**
On October 17, 2024, the energy storage project by National Energy Group in Yongfu County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was officially launched. Situated within the Guoneng Yongfu plant area in Suqiao Economic Development Zone, the project aims to construct a 100MW/200MWh electrochemical energy storage power station. The project adopts a hybrid design incorporating multiple technological routes, with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries accounting for 90MW/180MWh and sodium-ion batteries providing a capacity of 10MW/20MWh, totaling a designed scale of 200MW/400MWh. Occupying an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, the portion of the project under construction will utilize LFP battery solutions, complemented by the construction of a 220kV booster station and related power distribution facilities. The entire energy storage power station features an integrated container design and prefabricated cabin-style energy storage system, supporting efficient power management and dispatch.
