European Aluminum Foil Market Rebounds in Q2, Total Shipments Up 6.6% YoY

European aluminum foil demand market begins to recover in the second quarter

According to the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA), aluminum foil production in Europe was quite disappointing in the first quarter. However, entering the second quarter, after a long-term decline at the beginning of 2023, a gratifying growth emerged. Total shipments rebounded strongly, increasing by 6.6% year-on-year to 227,000 tonnes in 2023. According to data released by the EAFA on August 27, domestic deliveries to Europe grew strongly, while exports remained sluggish.
