SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Update: LC2411 Primary Contract Slumps 1.63% Amid Intraday Volatility

【SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Review: LC2411 Primary Contract Drops by 1.63%】On August 22, the primary contract of lithium carbonate LC2411 fell by 1.63%. According to data, the LC2411 primary contract opened at 77,450 yuan/ton and closed at 75,450 yuan/ton, with a trading volume of 271,095 lots and an open interest of 220,587 lots, a decrease of 4,059 lots from the previous trading day. On the same day, SMM's spot price for battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 72,160 to 77,600 yuan/ton, with an average price of 74,880 yuan/ton, an increase of 30 yuan/ton from the previous working day. In terms of trends, the price of lithium carbonate opened high but then fluctuated downward, surged briefly in the afternoon session before quickly falling back, and accelerated its decline towards the end of the day, ultimately closing down 1.63%.
