SQM's First Quarter Report Released: Lithium Sales Volume Hits 43,500 Metric Tons in the First Quarter"
According to SQM's first quarter report, lithium sales volume reached 43,500 metric tons in the first quarter of 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of more than 34%, with approximately 75% of the products sold in China. The average sales price in the first quarter reached US$12,600 per metric ton, a year-on-year decrease of 75.3%. Their sales contracts are linked to market price indices, so the actual sales prices reflect market price trends. In addition, SQM revised and raised its lithium sales volume guidance for the fiscal year 2024 in its first quarter report, estimating that lithium sales volume may reach approximately 200,000 metric tons in 2024. The Mt Holland production project has not yet been included in these 200,000 metric tons.
