[Tsingshan Holding Group's subsidiary REPT plans to build its first overseas battery factory in Indonesia, with potential production start as early as next year]
Tsingshan Holding Group's lithium-ion battery manufacturer REPT plans to build the company's first overseas factory in Indonesia, which could potentially start production as early as next year. It is reported that this factory will be constructed adjacent to Tsingshan's Weda Bay plant. Jason Hong, the U.S. general manager of REPT, said in an interview that many battery manufacturers are building factories and expanding capacity in Europe and North America, "but we expect they won't start production until around 2026 or later, so we hope to get a head start by building a factory in Indonesia."
