According to SMM survey, as of Thursday March 7, the total zinc ingot inventory in seven regions in China was 180,300 mt, an increase of 6,200 mt from February 29, and an increase of 1,000 mt from March 4. Inventories in Shanghai increased during the week amid continued inflows of imported zinc ingots and on-demand downstream purchases. Zinc ingots in Guangdong were destocked due to limited shipments arrivals and dip buying. Inventory in Tianjin increased significantly as the two sessions and environmentally-driven production restrictions in Hebei, Tianjin and other places affected downstream demand. Inventories in Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin rose 500 mt.
